Produced by Dirty Minds Theatre Company at Theatre 80/St. Mark's
August 23-24th 2019 Book by: Jeff Whitty & James Magruder Music & Lyrics by: The Go-Go's Directed by: Aimée Francis Choreography by: Michael Persson Production Stage Manager: Nat Kelley DiMario Music Direction by: Rob Baumgartner Costume Design by: J Nick Gonzalez Lighting Design by: Corey Wissig Sound Design by: Simone Stern Head Over Heels is the story of a kingdom on the eve of collapse, its people in danger of losing their way of life unless they open their minds to the diversity of gender and sexuality among the citizens. It's a show that has been special to me since it first announced its out of town Broadway tryout. The catharsis telling this story brought allowed me to heal some old wounds and reconnect with a show that means the world to me.

Fun Fact #1: I saw Head Over Heels 19 times between its San Francisco run and Broadway run. Part of the reason I was brought onto the process for this production was because of my in-depth knowledge of the show.
Fun Fact #2: We put up this huge show with three weeks of rehearsal, and we never had the full cast in the room until tech. Scheduling was difficult, but there's nothing a good sticky note wall calendar can't solve.
Fun Fact #3: Without comms, I had no direct communication to the deck crew. This process became a matter of creating incredibly specific paperwork for the deck crew in order to run the show smoothly, but it also relied on me placing a lot of trust in them to make decisions that would make the run as smooth as possible. Needless to say, all was handled gracefully.
